“AGT” Judge Mel B Gets Bieber Treatment in the Big Easy
Whew…Tough room.
It looks like Justin Bieber isn’t the only celeb catching the attention of the Boo Birds. Melanie Brown’s first week as a judge on NBC’s America’s Got Talent is off to a rocky start after the former Spice Girl was heartily booed during Monday’s first round of auditions.
Mel joins fellow new pundit Heidi Klum on the panel of the longrunning talent show. The singer attracted the ire of the audience when she made the mistake of speaking vocally about her disdain for big band sounds.
“The first act of the day was Lagniappe, a very popular New Orleans brass band. Mel told the band…She’s not a fan of brass music. Bad move in The Big Easy. The audience went nuts on her, screaming ‘Go home,’ and ‘No respect.’ Mel became unglued, and leaned over to Howie, who comforted her.”
An all-new season of America’s Got Talent will premiere this summer.
