Adam Lambert has no hard feelings toward Clay Aiken — despite the fact that the American Idol Season 2 runner-up flipped into Full Bitch Mode late last week and posted a series of blog entries blasting Adam’s talent.

“I don’t know Clay,” Adam told Access Hollywood after performing on the The Today Show on Thursday. “I’m glad he’s getting headlines now though, because he wasn’t before.”

em>“If he wants to ride my coattails about it, good for him,” he chuckled.

Last week, Clay hit his Official Blog, and slammed Adam, this season’s runner-up, and his rendition of the Johnny Cash classic “Ring of Fire.”

“At that moment, [I] thought my ears would bleed. Contrived, awful, and slightly frightening,” Clay wrote of the performance, adding that he was surprised that people were actually voting for Lambert.

Clay later apologized after his comments created a firestorm with Glambert Fans.

“I do apologize to Adam for my colorful (and negative) choice of words. I hope he can forgive me,” Clay wrote. “I imagine he doesn’t give a damn! :-) God knows he shouldn’t.”

I think I’d take Clay Aiken and his six years of success and 6 Million CD’s sold over Adam and his huge ego any day.

I doubt in six years that anyone will remember who Adam Lambert is.

He could so easily have taken the high road and said that Clay is entitled to his opinion and I’ll just keep doing what I’m doing. I guess Adam’s bitchiness is more to your liking.

I’m disappointed in Adam. I was a fan but his arrogance is off-putting and I’ll forget about that CD I was planning on buying.

I think my sweet , polite , good-hearted Adam is a lot more savvy and ambitious that I thought . He knows how to play the game . Forget about taking the high road . Ride any coat tails you can find . That is show biz .

Adam is looking more foolish every time he opens his mouth.

When he is a multi-platinum artist and starred on Broadway, then, maybe he can make the comment about his coat tails.

Well, if this is how handles Adam criticism he’s in for a rude awakening. He sounds a bit full of himself for a reality show runner-up.

I’ll take Kris Allen, thank you.

Mr. Lambert needs to get a clue. Clay apologized. Adam needs to accept it and move on. He’s making himself look petty and childish. The idea that Clay Aiken needs the likes of Adam Lambert to get publicity is ludicrous. Hey, Adam, see if you first album sells 600,000 during the first week.

As a long time fan of Clay Aiken,I was somewhat shocked by his remarks concerning Adam after the conclusion of Idol. It seemed ill-informed at best. But ,to his credit,he did apologize. At that point,as a fellow runner-up who hasn’t sold millions of albums, sniping back at Clay and talking about coattails was childish. Time to get out the measuring
    tape guys? Really?

Clay was wrong but Adam should have taken the high road and accepted his apology. Adam’s bitchy personality is showing and it ain’t pretty.

Here come the Claymates to defend Clay!! He is only “somebody” to you………….the world could care less about him! How many were sold of his last two CD’s????? Not counting his playlist joke???
He may have apologized but his words already did their damage. Shame on him!

Why do Christian’s get all freaky when someone speaks the truth? Isn’t that what Jesus did? Adam is clealrly the most talented contestant of all time and he lost because he’s gay. Why can’t Christian’s stop lying long enough to admit that. I read the chat rooms the day before the final vote and it was obviously a religious contest not a singing contest. Don’t liars go to hell? Or do you have to repent right before that truck turns left on a red light at gets y’all. Phonies and hypocrites, not Jesus people. You all, %100, know I’m right. Stop lying!

If the world couldn’t care less there wouldn’t have been 600 entertainment news sites reporting on what Clay said to his fans on a PRIVATE website. He didn’t take it to the public, but Adam did. There’s the difference and Clay wins again for being the classier guy.

    Adam,
I think you have to grow up and put on your big boy pants (or is that big girl pants)????? When you are able to pull $2.2 million a year and Clay falls behind you (NOT), then you can talk about super star Clay riding your coattails. You need to grow up and realize who you are and where you came from.

Adam just needs to shut up! i am a fan of Clay Aiken and I agree that Adam’s singing sucks! Sure that was stupid, but really have you heard Adam Lambert sing?!

the only bitch here was Clay
    adam responded honestly.
Clay wanted to do a duet with adam,
adam rejected and clay takes his
    claws out and suddenly
turned on him and started to bitch.
And everybody knows who adam is.
And I do. and i never watched american idol
until the show finished and i saw a clip
of adam singing. hes a great singer.
clay nope, sorry, i didnt know who that guy
was until he started to bitch on adam.
clay may have a voice, but omfg is he
a boring enterianer. adam has much
    better of both.
and by the way, its adam’s life.
the attacks were DIRECTED AT HIM,
so if he doesnt want to accept
    the shitty lame “so-called”
apology by clay, he doesnt have to.
if you dont like it, then piss off.
