Adam Lambert already knows his For Your Entertainment album cover looks like a 1986 high school yearbook photo, thank you very much! Glampot took on critics of the Rihanna in Drag-esque cover art that hit the blogosphere like visual vomit late Tuesday.

“Thank you to those who appreciate and understand that the album cover is deliberately campy,” Adam tweeted. “It’s an omage (sic) to the past. It IS ridiculous.”

Okay…..The phrase “Lame Excuse” springs to mind, but whatever you say, Adam.

America’s favorite Idol runner-up wants his haters to know that there’s a reason his album cover looks the way it does — it’s exactly what he was going for, cheesy.
