They looked awfully chummy during their performance on the American Idol finale last May, but Adam Lambert and KISS rocker Gene Simmons are anything but these days, as the self-christened glam rock star and the “Hardest Man In Rock n’ Roll” bicker over a remark Gene made about Adam’s sexuality earlier this year.

Glambert is disgusted over Simmons insistence that coming out as gay — to the surprise of absolutely no one, mind you — would ruin his burgeoning career. During an interview with Good Day Philadelphia last June, Simmons advised the Idol runner-up to “shut up” about his preference for peen.

“Mostly he should shut up about his sexual preferences. We, America, the rest of the world, really don’t care,” Simmons said. “I mean, if the story becomes ‘I prefer farm animals to,’ you know, who cares?”

In an upcoming Rolling Stone article that has leaked online, Adam is quoted launching a scathing attack on Simmons: “Gene Simmons spouted something, that he thought I’d ruined my career by coming out. He’s obnoxious, and what a hypocrite – all he talks about is his sex life. He was being a dick – and he’s not the greatest singer.”

I think Gene is a moron. He got what he deserved. I’m happy someone has the guts to tell it like it is. Gene drew first blood, not Lambert. Still, I’m surprised he had the guts to stick up for himself. Good for him.

Boo hoo. Simmons can dish it out but he can’t take it? Please. Lambert took a lot of crap from this guy and didn’t say a word. Rolling Stone asked him a question and he answered it. Let’s not put Gene Simmons on a pedastal here.

And not to sound like a silly child, “Gene started it!”

If Adam did say those things, I think he should’ve just shut up about it. Why rehash? Be the better man. End of story.

    Miyan-
I’m sorry, but Simmons likened being gay to bestiality. Not gonna shut up when there’s homophobia involved. The man is a total dick and got what he deserved.

I’m glad Adam finally spoke up about Gene’s rude, ignorant comments. Adam has taken the high road a few times with Gene and I’m sure this time when he was asked about it he decided enough is enough. Gene is an ignorant, hypocrite. Kiss was entertaining in their time, but I agree with Adam, Gene is the worst singer of them all.

I admire ADAM for being able to draw the line. Gene started it and still went on. ADAM at that time surprised when told just replied, “DId he say that? Well, Gene is just being himself.” This time, he was asked in the interview and responded rightly putting Gene in his place. Just being honest when confronted up front.

Adam is an honest, genuine and authentic person. It’s comforting to know he isn’t shy of fighting back when attacked. When Gene said that Adam doesn’t have a rock voice, he advised to listen to Gene’s singing. Adam can claw back if need be and put people where they belong. It’s good for him.

Hey Adam, Why don’t you sell some records, fill some arena’s, and become a bonafide “star” before you try to take on the “BIG BOYS? lmao. I voted 75 times for you on AI, but after I’ve had to endure reading all the “crap” that you’ve leaked to the press to keep your name in print until your albums released, I. myself feel that you should just “shutup and sing”. But honestly, you should sing something a he** of alot better than that new single. If I had to choose between a Kiss album and your’s, I’d have to go with Kiss.
