A Chapter in Celine’s Life Closes

Celine Dion VegasCeline Dion has always been one of the most admired and respected divas in the world of entertainment. From her humble beginnings to the pinnacle of her career, and even more so when she became a wife and mother, people cannot help but hold her in high esteem. With her albums selling record numbers and shows attracting masses of people, her talent is undeniable.

Yet all good things must come to an end, as they say. For almost 5 years now, Celine Dion has had a Las Vegas concert extravaganza. Yet as the New Year dawns, it has been announced that this will be the last year for this production. Traditionally held at the Caesars Palace, the staff has outlined major changes in the production, which will ultimately lead to the closing of the whole thing by the end of 2007 – December 15, to be exact.

For the past 5 years that her show has been running, about 2.5 million people have come and gone to watch the diva perform live. The production is so special that they built and designed the Colosseum, the theater where the show is held regularly. I don’t know about you, but even if I have never been to one of the countless shows, I feel sad about it closing down. Perhaps, that is all the more reason to feel sad – I will never be able to see it now. Yet there is still a year ahead for those of you who wish to go see Celine Dion. Tickets will be sold starting March 1 so grab your chance now.
