Not everyone’s giddy about Guidos: UNICO National, an Italian-American interest organization based in the Garden State, has asked MTV to pull the plug on the network’s newest unscripted hot mess, Jersey Shore, amid claims that the show promotes stereotypes about Italian-Americans.

Jersey Shore depicts a group of college-aged Italian-American beach bums doing what 21-year-olds do on the Jersey Shore– sleep all day, party all night. In a posting on its website, MTV describes the show as “sometimes surprising, often hilarious and usually over-the-top personalities as they juggle work, love, nightlife, friendship and the drama that ensues. ABC has pulled the plug on The Witches of Eastwick. The network has opted not to order additional episodes of its freshman supernatural comedy-drama starring Rebecca Romijn, Eastwick, The Hollywood Reporter has learned.

Eastwick, a fresh take on the hit 1987 movie The Witches of Eastwick, will complete production on 13 episodes. ABC is also yanking its reality show Let’s Dance, the Kathy Griffin-hosted reality dance show that was supposed to premiere Nov. 23.

According to sources, ABC had difficulty casting celebritites to appear on the program.

Paging Nurse Gosselin! Reality Octomom Kate Gosselin has renewed her registration as a nurse with the Pennsylvania Department of State.

On Oct. 26, Gosselin filed documents to renew her nursing license, which had been set to expire Oct. 31, The Insider reports. Before finding fame on the TLC series Jon & Kate Plus 8, Kate completed nursing school at the Reading Hospital and Medical Center in Pennsylvania. That’s where she worked as a labor and delivery room nurse before leaving to pimp out her child army of twin girls and sextuplets on TV.

TLC has had enough of Jon Gosselin. The network is suing the father of eight for breaching his contract as star of the recently-cancelled reality show Jon & Kate Plus 8, The Los Angeles Times is reporting.

The lawsuit, filed in Maryland Friday, alleges that Gosselin hasn’t met the obligations of his contract as an exclusive employee, has appeared on other programs for pay and made unauthorized disclosures about the show.

Jon & Kate Plus 8’s Kate Gosselin has responded to her estranged husband’s attempt to halt production of the family’s TLC show — less than a week after his airtime was cut and his name was stripped from the title.

Jon & Kate Gosselin have been kaput for months, and the warring reality couple may soon be separated from the airwaves, if the unhappy hubby gets his way. Jon Gosselin is attempting to shut down production of the family’s reality series, Jon & Kate Plus 8, according to The Insider. Jon’s attorney, Mark J. Heller, has sent two letters to TLC lawyers, demanding the show’s parent network “cease and desist production and leave his property.”

The move comes just days after TLC bosses moved to rename the show Kate Plus Eight — drastically cutting Jon’s time on camera in the process.
