Back in December 2009 we brought you 15 smokin’ hot female musicians currently on our radar for not just their looks, but their talent as well. We’re tired of being bombarded with overly produced vocals and canned pop star looks, so in digging deeper we found 40 more incredibly sexy female musicians — that don’t suck.

Opening our list is the doe-eyed singer-songwriter and actress Zooey Deschanel. She’s half of indie folk band She & Him, and easily hypnotizes the masses with her rich vocals, reminiscent of a by-gone era. We’re definitely jealous of her husband, Ben Gibbard, but it’s not like he’s got any lack of ladies hounding him, either.

Small-town girl Meiko was born and raised in Roberta, Georgia, but moved to LA to set down her roots and begin her music career. The indie-folk singer-songwriter’s work has since appeared on television, and along with her piercing looks, her voice is amazing live.
