Iv been suffering from bulimia for 3 yrs..I feeel like its been taking over my life….its best to stop this addition bfor it gets worse

(To Leah- above) Please do whatever you need to confront this before it becomes a total life struggle. I am bulimic and have been now for about 6 years. I have been struggling since a young age with eating and i just wanting to lose a bit of weight. It is such a struggle and an addiction but i am slowly learning to cope. It gives me strength to know that there are others who have had similar problems. I now recognise that I am not to blame and that I am not just weak. I went to my doctor and was referred to a clinic. It is almost impossible to help yourself so please also seek help if you are going through the same sort of thing. Remember that you are worth far more than what is happening to you and get the help you need in order to conquer your battle and to ultimately be happy and secure

I am nearly 14 and have been suffering bulimia for about month.I want to stop. And I need help. Does anyone know a website where you can find group meetings or something?

@ Blake Archer: you clearly have no idea what you’re talking about. People do not WANT to “put themselves through” an eating disorder. You cannot stop thinking about food or body image, no matter how hard you try… that’s why it’s called a disorder, you dumbass.

i am currently bulimic and i find that the disorder is not something easy to get over. it’s not just “giving up the purging”, it’s a mental disorder as well and by making myself sick i feel in much more power than before. i currently live in a home where my two older sisters and mum control what i do with my life and my brother is abused by his dad. it’s not just a case of “oh it’s a lifestyle choice, whoever does it is just a stupid model-wannabe” at all. i just wanted to put my opinion across and set the record straight to all those people (my ex included) who believe bulimia is a lifestyle choice and easy to overcome.
