Universal Music Group has been forced to reprint thousands of album jackets for Lindsay Lohan’s upcoming album because the singer wants to write a special thank-you note to girlfriend Samantha Ronson.

Lindsay, 22, originally included a disguised dedication to her DJ girlfriend on the CD sleeve by referring to her using a pet name, but since the couple went public with their relationship earlier this month, Lindsay wants to write an outright dedication to same, sources for the British Sun say.

“Sam has had a huge influence on the record. The artwork was finalized before Lindsay had gone public with the relationship, so she concealed the tribute. Now it will name Samantha directly.”

Spirit In The Dark, the third studio album from Lindsay Lohan, is due out on November 4.
