It was a huge night for The Artist, with the silent film taking home Best Actor, Jean Dujardin and Best Film.

Meryl Streep captured her 3rd Oscar (17th nomination) last night for her portrayal of Margaret Thatcher in The Iron Lady. Christopher Plummer took his first ever Oscar last night, at the age of 82, becoming the oldest recipient in Academy history. Octavia Spencer was recognized for her work in The Help last night, taking home Best Supporting Actress.
