Fall Out Boy rockers Pete Wentz and Patrick Stump have announced their plans to endorse Barack Obama for Commander-in-Chief. In fact, Pete will co-host a fundraiser for the presidential hopeful in the Windy City next week. Next Tuesday, he’ll co-host an event, along with Illinois State Representative Sara Feigenholtz, at Chicago’s Lakeview Broadcasting Company to raise money for Obama for America. A $75 donation will get you a limited-edition Obama T-shirt designed by Wentz’s Clandestine Industries. The fundraiser is open to everyone, even people under the legal voting age.

Paul Stafford on American Idol. Elliott Yamin “Wait For You” Performance. Hailing from Crosby, Texas, Paul’s a gentle giant….sadly his voice isn’t so easy on the ears. Paul’s a sweetheart, though.
Most Pathetic Honors Of The Night go out to Douglas Davidson. Poor thing. We don’t know if he has a gland problem or something, but he was sweating like an animal. Thanks to an article he read featuring Christina Aguilera, Douglas is very careful about straining his vocal muscles…that means he spent a lot of his audition time walking in circles, sipping water, and clearing his throat via unnnatural noises. Douglas was later escorted off the premises by security.
Renaldo Lapuz showed up for his audition/Simon butt-kissing session dressed up like a demented pimp…or some kind of metallic bird or something…we’re not sure what look Renaldo was going for. He performed his original Simon Cowell inspired track “We’re Brother Forever.” Yeah….okay.
Self-proclaimed vocal impressionist Kady Malloy earned the moniker of “Season’s Best So Far” with her flawless performance of “Unchained Melody,” Simon’s favorite song, by the way. Kady also turned in impressive impersonations of Britney Spears (Not Saying Much) and Carrie Underwood.
