Britney Spears is currently under evaluation at the UCLA Medical Center and placed on a 5150, which is a 72-hour hold, but she could be there for up to two weeks. “The way it works is a law enforcement agency or mental health professional can conclude that someone is a danger to self or others, and undertake an involuntary commitment,” says ALLAN PARACHINI, L.A. Superior Court spokesperson told the Associated Press. “To extend that for another 14 days there has to be a court hearing. That’s typically held in the hospital where the patient is.”

Paris Hilton is denying rumors that she’s a carpet-muncher. The heiress is especially pissed about a recent Us Magazine report claiming that she was spotted kissing friend Elisha Cuthbert in New York City on Tuesday.

“It’s false,” Paris’ rep Jason Moore says. “Elisha and Paris are good friends and Elisha has a boyfriend. Paris doesn’t kiss girls.”

“They were talking close due to a loud restaurant,” he says.
