Paul McCartney is being blasted by his sister-in-law right on the heels of reports that a settlement had been reached in his bitter divorce from Heather Mills.

Fiona Mills, H&M’s sister, is livid that her big sis and niece aren’t receiving the same protection afforded to other members of the McCartney clan, especially in light of alleged death threats being sent to Heather and Beatrice:

“The main reason that I am responding is that I am deeply concerned for the safety of my sister and her daughter,” says on Heather’s website.

They are receiving death threats, not because she is getting a divorce, but because some of the British tabloids decided from day one that they wish to destroy her. … Heather and Beatrice no longer receive the protection that would be afforded to any other member of the McCartney family facing such threats.”

Fiona believes that Sir Paul may be the driving force behind the threats:

“We have been accused of creating publicity stunts and leaking information to get publicity,” she says. “This is not true and is a ridiculous accusation considering all the publicity is negative. It is not hard to work out where the inaccurate information is coming from.”

But Paul has a support system of his own:

“It’s absurd to claim Paul is behind the leaks. “He doesn’t do that sort of thing. Neither would he provide inadequate protection for Bea or Heather.”

Sources are snitching that Britney Spears in being ushered into rehab by none other than her soon-to-be ex-husband, Kevin Federline.

“Kevin has tried to convince Britney to check herself into rehab from every possible angle,” a source told Star Magazine. “First he tried threatening to take away the kids, then he tried pleading with her to take care of herself.”

Fed-Ex has even teamed up with arch-rival Lynne Spears, B.S’s mom, to convince the singer to get clean: “He’s afraid she’s going to hurt herself.”

Kev apparently has issues with Brit spending forty grand on Vegas entertainment for her and new beau Isaac Cohen while their two sons are at home with the Manny:

“They’re being raised by strangers,” the Star source dishes. “He told Britney to get help before it’s too late.”

TMZ is reporting that Grammy Award winning R&B singer Brandy was at fault in a December 30th car crash that caused one fatality.

Brandy was driving her 2007 Land Rover at sixty-five miles per hour down the 405 L.A Freeway at around 10:30 AM and did not notice that cars in front of her had slowed down. The singer reportedly slammed into a 2005 Toyota. The ’05 Toyota then hit a 1989 Toyota. The 2005 Toyota then slid sideways and hit the center divider. As the 2005 Toyota came to a halt, it was struck by a 1988 Acura.

Awatef Aboudihaj, the driver of the 2005 Toyota, was taken to Holy Cross Hospital in critical condition-she died the next day. The thirty-eight year old was the mother of one. The driver of the Acura sustained minor injuries-Brandy sustained no injuries.

“Brandy’s holding up the best that she can. It has taken a toll on her,” says Evette Fergerson, the singer’s spokeswoman.

The rep added: “She wishes to publicly express her condolences to the family of the deceased. Brandy asks that you respect the privacy of every one involved at this time.”

A Nationwide Insurance ad slated for a Superbowl Sunday premiere has Britney’s estranged hubbby playing the french fry guy at a McDonald’s restaurant-but not everyone is laughing, namely the fast food workers of America.

Annika Stevenson, the head of the National Restaurant Association that represents the U.S.’s 935,000 restaurants, says in a official complaint letter to Nationwide’s CEO Jerry Jurgenson, “A sudden change in Federline’s career could have been depicted with him holding an unemployment benefit check. It shouldn’t be necessary for a company to disrespect others to get its point across. …It’s a negative, unfair and inaccurate reflection. It’s not Kevin we take issue with, but the depiction of where he ends up.”

Nationwide maintains that the ad is not meant “to offend or insult the many fine individuals who work in the restaurant industry.”

Victoria Beckham and Katie Holmes have left the hubs and kids in the wind and are spending some “girl time” in Paris.
