As we wait upon the New Year, the Pretty Woman shares some good news with the rest of the world – she is to become a mother yet again. With her third baby on the way, Julia Roberts was more than willing to let the whole world know about her pregnancy. Already with two kids, Julia and her husband Danny Moder are anticipating the birth of their third child.
Her spokesperson, Marcy Engelman, confirmed this great news in an article from People’s Magazine last Friday. She says that the baby will be born this summer. As Julia has already shown with her twins Hazel and Phinnaeus, she is a very good mother. No doubt with her expected child she will be the same.
She is of course most known for her role in the movie Pretty Woman. For me, though, her best movies would be My Bestfriend’s Wedding and Runaway Bride. She is definitely not running away from anything these days, though! Though she has not made a big movie recently, she has been involved in the movie version of Charlotte’s Web where she gives voice to the wise spider. Next year, she’ll be in a movie called Charlie Wilson’s War, with Tom Hanks as co-star.
Much is to be admired about Julia Roberts, not the least her versatility. She made her debut in Broadway this year as well. She was part of Richard Greenberg’s “Three Days of Rain.” What else can I say? She is one heck of a woman!
“Common“ beach-going people were treated to a sight on Thursday when they found themselves sharing Bondi Beach in Sydney with no other than Paris Hilton herself. The presence of the hotel heiress definitely made a stir among the post-Christmas beach crowd who, in all likelihood, were not expecting to see such a celebrity as her.
To see those people – mostly the men, naturally – react would make it seem that there was a phenomenal event that was happening. The fact was that Paris Hilton didn’t really make any scene. She acted as if everything was perfectly natural. She sunbathed like the average person, took a dip in the ocean, and chatted on her mobile phone. Of course, the presence of her bodyguard and the paparazzi that dotted the beach would suggest that everything was NOT perfectly ordinary.
So what was Ms. Hilton doing Down Under a few days after Christmas? Well, she has been given the honor of choosing the model for a new Australian beer, Bondi Blonde. She will be picking out the lucky girl on New Year’s Day. The whole event was organized by John Singleton, a well known ad executive and beer lover in Australia. Ironically, Paris is not particularly known as a beer lover. That raises the question, what lured Paris into making this appearance? You think about it…
No matter what her reason for the Australian gig is, her stunt at Bondi Beach certainly made that day memorable for many. Even if you do not like her, seeing such a personality up close and personal will surely be a good story while drinking beer with your pals, won’t it?
Have you ever found yourself watching MTV when one of Beyonce’s videos comes on and then you get enraptured at that goddess on the screen? Just like the rest of the “normal” world, perhaps, you have wondered at just how she can maintain her shape and look as gorgeous as she did when she first came out – perhaps even more so, in fact. Well, wonder no more.
Beyonce has spoken about her fitness regime. Fitness what? Yeah, just like most other Hollywood stars, she has her own routine when it comes to staying fit. She says that she has to work out 5 times a week! This may not seem much to some people but boy, does this seem crazy to a couch potato like me. Then again, if working out 5 times a week, like Beyonce does, will make me look like her, then why not???
Anyhow, Beyonce reveals that she normally gets out of bed at 8.30 every morning. She then has some cereal for breakfast and then she “lets it digest.” What that means exactly, I do not know. After the digestion process she goes on to do some cardio for about half an hour. (For those who are not work out buffs, cardio is merely something that gets your heart rate up.) After her cardio work out, Beyonce then does 45 minutes of free weights. With her busy schedule, I wonder where she finds the time to do all this EVERYDAY? I sure would like to know, maybe I can benefit from it.
These sirens have been, perhaps, two of the most heard of names in Hollywood for the past year. With what happened between Jennifer and Brad and then it being Angelina and Brad and all that, it is no wonder that some people have been trying to come up with ways to compare Angelina and Jennifer.
I am sure you can think of a thousand and one ways to contrast and compare these two. Now I am not going through all of those ways. However, I recently picked up something about what Angelina Jolie and Jennifer Aniston are giving away for this Christmas. Well not exactly their whole shopping list, to be honest. It was more of a peek into what they have been up to when it comes to shopping.
According to TMZ.com, Angelina Jolie has been going on a soap shopping spree – and not your ordinary kind of soap either. It seems that she has a thing for soap made from goat’s milk. Perhaps she was buying these for her three children? In any case, she reportedly bought 2 dozen sets of baby goat’s milk soap in the shape of animals. As for Jennifer, she has been out shopping for bags. Now that’s more like it! She reportedly bought 2 for herself and splurged on 10 more for her gal pals.
I may prefer one over the other (no I am not saying who) but I wouldn’t mind getting some of that goat’s milk soap or one of those bags.
Take a minute to take a trip down memory lane and think about the most coveted doll when you were but a little girl. I bet that a large number of you gals out there would think of Barbie. Yup, the one thing that most little girls desired for way back then was a Barbie Doll.
Now snap out of it and come back to the present. There are so many dolls in Hollywood today and one of the latest trends to hit Tinsel Town is the plethora of teeny bopper movies. Who hasn’t heard of Hilary Duff? The cute teenager hit Hollywood by storm and her popularity spread through all the continents like a forest fire out of control.
Put the world’s most famous doll and Hilary together and what do you get? A Hilary Duff Barbie Doll! Now her fame is going to take on a whole new meaning as she gets to take home a miniature replica of herself. Hilary Duff isn’t the first star to have had this honor. Other famous celebrities that have had Barbie replicas are Beyonce Knowles, Reese Witherspoon, and Lucille Ball. Hilary’s doll is named The Red Carpet Glam Hilary Duff Doll and is dressed in a polka dot dress with a red satin sash. Though it may not be out in time for your Christmas shopping, you can buy it before the year ends.
I wonder just how many units will sell. Of course, her adoring fans would not pass up on this opportunity. As for me, I was never one for Barbie Dolls anyway.
She just can’t seem to get enough attention these days! Unfortunately, it’s bad attention that’s she is getting. The New York Dog and The Hollywood Dog magazines award this title every year to public figures. Editor Hilary O’Hagan states that there was no question about this year’s winner.
So what was the reason behind Britney’s “award”? Prior to her marriage to Kevin Federline (who is to be her ex-husband pretty soon, as we all know), Britney used to have 3 Chihuahuas. You know, those cute tiny dogs that cannot seem to stop yapping? As a bachelorette, Britney used to go around everywhere with those dogs of her. She actually never went anywhere without at least one of them cradled in her arms. So what happened? Enter Kevin Federline and her children. The result? The dogs vanished into thin air.
I wouldn’t think that was such a bad choice – family for dogs. Don’t get me wrong I love dogs. But maybe she just didn’t have time for the puppies anymore? After all, she only has two hands – and two arms for that matter. How can anyone expect her to lug around three Chihuahuas and her baby at the same time? She had enough flak coming because of how she “mishandled” her baby in her car, remember?
In any case, she got the award, which ironically (or maybe portentously?), belonged to her pal Paris Hilton last year. On a happier note, Oprah Winfrey won the best dog owner award because of her loving care of her five dogs.
They may seem like a good match but if I were you, I would not hold my breath just yet. Entertainment sections of papers both online and offline have featured these two in a lip lock this weekend. Catchy headlines and even more attention grabbing photos prove to be nothing more than teasers when you proceed to read the write up.
As it turns out, these two stars are paired with each other in their new movie The Accidental husband. Uma has always been considered as one of the sexiest women in Hollywood but her recent Kill Bill movies have portrayed her more as a tough chick than a sex goddess. Yet her role in this new movie is nothing near her kick ass assassin role in the Kill Bill series. Whereas she literally killed in those movies, she’ll kill you with funny antics and light romance in The Accidental Husband.
Of course, what is a leading lady without a leading man? Colin Firth is known to many as Bridget Jones’ knight in shining armor. He also played Darcy in BBC’s version of Pride and Prejudice. Though he has captured countless hearts, he still finds it a mystery why women simply fall in love with him. Nonetheless, he will be seen in 7 movies in the coming year. That should be more than enough to satisfy his fans. As for Uma and him being a couple? Let’s just say that their romance is more of an onscreen thing. For now, that is.
Strange title, I know, but turmoil and arrest is exactly what’s been going on in Nicole Richie’s life for the moment. Richie was, as most already know, arrested for driving the wrong way last Monday. She failed the sobriety test and admitted to taking Vicodin which promptly lead to her going to jail. Richie says though that she took Vicodin because she had severe menstrual cramps and not for any other reason. She was released the same day after paying her bail of US$ 15,000.
Richie claims that she is ready to face whatever the consequences are for her bad behavior. She admits responsibility and says that she is prepared to address any issues that arise because of it.
The fact that Nicole Richie is one of the icon girls adds to yet another in the long list of misdemeanors Hollywood girl stars have been increasingly committing lately. The Richie incident most likely alarms parents who know that Nicole Richie is one of the Hollywood stars popular with young girls (and boys too) nowadays. Whatever image she does portray will of course affect the girls perception and behavior so that though, through her own choice or not, Nicole Richie and other Hollywood stars serve as role models for young girls.
The truth though is that the Richie incident should not be seen by parents as something that will necessarily influence their children badly. Quite frankly, Nicole Richie and the other Holywood Stars look like complete idiots and fools when they get in trouble like this. If the topic is discussed properly at home and the right perspective is given, incidents like this could even serve as good lessons for the sorts of behavior to avoid.
Is it just me or do the commercials for Season 6 of American Idol starting in January of 2007 just totally suck. In the previous 5 seasons of Idol, the commercials actually did their job at making me want to watch. But so far, the American Idol commercials have been total duds.
Or am I missing something? Seriously. I’d love to know that I’m wrong, but so far, the commercials I’ve seen have shown people singing that are totally mediocre. Not great. Not terrible. In other words, I’m not sure what the point of showing them has been? They hit some notes and miss some notes. Ok. Big deal. That’s normal. I want to see some clips of some of the real talent and also some clips of the total losers who should know better than compete in a singing competition.
Let’s think about it a little. Why do we watch American Idol? Well, because we love to hate the terrible singers and because we love to help pick out the hidden talent. Then of course there are the cinderella stories.
But so far, the American Idol commercials for season 6, which begins in only a month, have been lifeless and hapless, giving me very little to look forward to.

Ten years after her tragic death, the most loved Princess of all time has not been forgotten. To commemorate her life, her two sons Princes William and Harry have organized a concert. It will be held on July 1st at the Wembley Stadium in London. According to a spokesperson for the princes, the 22,500 tickets that were released on December 13 were sold out in no more than 20 minutes! If that isn’t an indication of how well-loved this princess was, I don’t know what is! Well, actually, I think that the fact that e-bay has disallowed the resale of tickets on their site as a sign of respect for the Princess might run a close second!
Acts to perform during the concert of course include Sir Elton John. Most anyone will remember that he sang “Candle in the Wind” during Princess Di’s funeral. When she was alive, the princess repeatedly hailed Duran Duran as her favorite band and it is just fitting that they be present at the gig too. Other notables are Andrew Lloyd Webber and the English National Ballet.
This mother would have been so proud of her boys had she been alive to witness such an event. The two princes even went as far as trying to have the family put up a solid front for the memorial services. They stated repeatedly that they want both sides of the family to be present. Whether or not they actually do this, the fact remains that there are still countless people out there clamoring for tickets. The official site says that there might be more coming out next year. Keep your fingers crossed.
