So apparently the “painfully pointy” look is appealing to some guys?

Nicole Richie is apparently dating Brody Jenner. You may know Jenner from the short-lived Fox series Princes of Malibu, and if you don’t know him from that you most likely don’t know him at all. But we do know the following about him: He just broke up with Kristin Cavallari (star of Laguna Beach) two weeks ago. He’s decent looking. He seems pretty laid back and he likes to eat. So far, so good.

The couple is seen here yesterday, first shopping together and then later out at the L.A. hotspot Hyde. (Who isn’t at Hyde these days, seriously?)

I know whenever I’m in a relationship it’s easy to put on pounds. Why? Less time for working out and more time spent going out to eat. We can only hope something similar happens for Nicole.

If Jenner can get Richie back up to a healthy weight he’ll be my new favorite celebrity.

Matt Lauer was recently spotted on the beach in Southhampton, New York frolicking in the surf with his wife, his children (seen here with daughter Romy), and his six-pack. And not the kind of six-pack you bring in a cooler, either.

Matt has been a co-anchor on NBC’s Today show since 1997, probably famous equally for both his hard hitting interviews and the more light-hearted “Where in the World is Matt Lauer?” that airs yearly on Today. This is not the first time Matt has gotten attention for his physical appearance- back in 2002 he turned heads and fueled a lot of jokes by switching his hairstyle from a full head of hair to a buzz cut (an attempt to disguise a receding hairline???) but that situation ended up working out well for him, and I’m sure this one will too.

He’ll never have Mathew McConaughey’s famous beach body (place your vote here) but I have to hand it to the guy- nice work!

When Britney Spears posed, nude and pregnant on the cover of Harper’s Bazaar for August’s issue no one thought much of it other than it was a brave move on Spears part. Now, Tokyo’s subway has refused to display an advertisement featuring heavily pregnant Britney Spears, deeming it “too stimulating” for children.

On the cover, Spears is covering her breasts with her arms and has her legs crossed at the knee, but publishers of the magazine met with resistance when they asked permission to display this photo in Tokyo’s subway. The photograph will also appear on the cover of the Japanese edition of Harper’s Bazaar in October.

An all new Ashlee Simpson was turning heads recently at The World’s Largest Pajama Party hosted by Victoria’s Secret Pink in New York. With blonde curls and the infamous “neither confirmed nor denied” new nose she appeared on a massive two-level stage and performed 5 songs- which at one point included her pole dancing on a street-lamp prop and slapping her own ass. Interesting.

Anyway, the pajama party was apparently quite the spectacle. “We like to do things larger than life” was what Victoria’s Secret Pink spokeswoman Sara Tervo had to say the day before the big event. Everything from pink cotton candy, pink flavored water, pink blankets, plush pink dogs, and pink backpacks were given free to those who stayed the length of the party. They even had “gargantuan polka dotted dogs” hanging out at the front door.

It’s got to be hard succeeding in an industry as ‘Jessica Simpson’s little sister’ and Ashlee seems to honestly need some help. She’s cute enough, with or without the nose job, and can probably compete on her own merits if she could just project some confidence and get comfortable in her own skin.
