Danish super model Helena Christensen is making a career shift! I thought it was just a moment of model insanity when she discussed her dream of photographing a royal wedding, but now the lanky exotic creature is being paid $110,000 to run a photo shoot in Sydney for a tourism campaign. Not everyone was gung-ho about the idea. One Chamber of Commerce member is quotedsaying that “if it doesn’t work that is two years of money wasted in four days.”

This isn’t Helena’s first venture into professional photography from this angle. She also shot an ad campaign for the Carlsburg beer company. It makes sense. She’s been in front of the camera for years. She should know what looks right from the other side.

According to an article on today’s msnbc, Nicole Richie reportedly fainted this past weekend while shopping at an LA boutique.

According to an eyewitness, Richie fell to the floor while lookingthrough a rack of clothes. She reportedly blamed the the heat and was able to leave the store after resting for about 20 minutes.

Of course, the immediate media speculation is that the fainting has something to do with Richie’s recent extreme weight loss. Richie has admitted to being “too thin” but denies being anorexic or bulemic. The tabloids love a good fainting spell, because according to them it can only mean one of three things:

If you’re a man,
fainting = drugs.
If you’re a thin woman,
fainting = eating disorder.
And if you’re a woman who’s not so thin, fainting = pregnant.

They all make good headlines.

Haley Joel Osment, 18 was hospitalized this morning following a car crash.

The former Sixth Sense star reportedly crashed his car into a pillar and flipped the vehicle, according to the Associated Press.

Osment was driving near his Los Angeles home at about 1 a.m. when he lost control of his car, a 1995 Saturn says a spokesperson for the L.A. County Sheriff. Apparently Osment was “alert and talkative” following the accident and was rushed to Huntington Hospital for treatment.

Nominated for an Academy Award for his work in The Sixth Sense in 1999, he’ll next appear as a high school journalist in the film Home of the Giants.

Janet Jackson is preparing to release a new album, 20 Years Old and has a fabulous idea for a cover art design contest. This is one of the shots for the cover art. Like her brother, her looks seem to be slowly shifting with time. Not that she isn’t attracive (some of the other cover art shots are amazing), but what happened to the curvy woman with the big hair? Can’t you have a flat tummy and a real nose?

This shot in particular bothers me. She looks so vacant, and the bone structure and clothes remind me of … someone. Maybe Jessica Simpson trying to be classy? I just can’t place it …
