Fresh new pop-star Lily Allen has been getting blows in against the competiton recently. She was noted saying that she really feels that Spice-Girl-turned-model Victoria Beckham (pictured) is a bad role mnodel for young girls because she is so thin. She’s quoted in The Sun saying, “I don’t care how much she says that’s her natural weight, it’s bull. She gets photographed every day and doesn’t eat a thing.”
Yeeeeeouch! Posh Spice, don’t you have a rebuttal?
It actually gets better from there. The starlette continues by saying that The Pussy Cat Dolls are also bad role models for their lewd dancing, skimpy costumes, and low body weight. They are supposed to be bad role models for your boys as well, by teaching them to want things that no (real) woman could ever acheive!

It has been announced (for the second time in recorded history) that the geekiest animated film since Clone Wars is in production and the voices have been cast. Keifer Sutherland and Lucy Lawless will both have starring roles in Dragons of Autumn Twilight, along with some of the best voice actors in fantasy animation history.
Hilariously, Lucy’s character is a barbarian princess in exile from the rolling plains who was granted some special ju-ju from the gods. Does any of this sound familiar? (See illustration for a hint!)
Thanks to Feeblemind and company for the lead.
They say any publicity is good publicity. And when a little kid misbehaves to get attention, they say it’s because to the kid, any attention is better than no attention at all.

Justin Timberlake is all over the news lately with increasingly controversial interviews which were obviously carefully timed to create a buzz for the release of new album on September 12.
In an interview with Observer Music Monthly that he’s bound to regret someday soon, Timberlake seems to be bragging about his history of drug use. (Read the full story at msnbc)
“I’m just like everyone else, I get completely plastered” he said. “I’ve done my fair share of drugs and I’ve been caught places with my pants down. It’s just I make sure there are no cameras around.”
Oh, Justin. You’re not a tough guy. You’re unconvincing as a “bad boy.” You have no street credibility and you didn’t grow up hard-knock style on the streets. You were a freaking Mouseketeer for pete’s sake.
When he said he was going to “push the sound of pop” it was adorably cocky. But Timberlake should realize that his main fan base is still that preteen/teenage age group, a group that definitely doesn’t need to hear their favorite musician talking fondly about his drug experiences and how everyone is doing it.
That sexy twosome, Dave Navarro and Carmen Electra have announced that they are “amicably separating,” rep Jill Fritzo reported earlier this week.
When the actress and rock god married November 23rd, 2003 rumours constantly circulated that the couple were heading for trouble. Electra and Navarro adamantly denied that things were getting rocky.
“We’re FINE!” Electra told People magazine in April, the month Scary Movie 4 premiered in New York. Incidentally, Navarro showed up to the premiere to support his wife. “If there were trouble,” she said, “I wouldn’t have my ring on. I would not walk around and pretend.”
The second marriage for Electra and the third for Navarro, Electra was said to have joked at her 2003 nuptials that she “thought [she'd] never marry a guy who looked in the mirror more than [she] did.”
Well Carmen, it looks like you can have your mirror back now. Read more about the reportedly friendly parting here.
Whenever a celebrity donates time rather than money to a cause, I’m a little skeptical. Yes, it’s good of them and requires more effort on their part than just writing a check. But the celebrity often benefits far more than the cause they are supporting.

Take, for instance, Jessica Beil. The actress, who was voted “The Sexiest Woman Alive” by Esquire magazine this year, announced yesterday that she’ll be auctioning off a date with herself to help raise money for a high school girl who recently lost her leg on prom night in a limosine accident.
Maybe I should just be thankful for a little bit of nice celebrity news when most of this week’s events have involved divorce, drugs, strippers, and bar fights. (And drug-related fights at strip bars.)
But I just wanted to point out that Biel is obviously getting the following out of this deal:
- major publicity
- renewed media conversastion about how “hot” she is, conveniently timed just as we were starting to forget about her
- more guaranteed press time later to cover her date with the lucky “average Joe”
Read the full story at MSN or check out more information about the auction and hear Biel’s audio message for yourself.
“It really changes your perspective on the world,” Pitt, 42, said of having children. Interviewed on “The Today Show” Monday morning, Pitt reported that he shares Angelina Jolie’s beliefs regardining humanitarian issues and that his children have played a vital role in changing his attitude towards life.
His children, Maddox, 4, Zahara, 1 and 6-week old daughter Shiloh have helped Pitt take the focus off himself and his own needs. “I’m so tired of thinking about myself,” he said.
As far as parenting goes, Pitt couldn’t be happier. “It’s a true joy, [and] a very profound love.” He even admitted that with Shiloh, if he “can get a burp out of that little thing, [he] feels such a sense of accomplishment.”
Ah, parenthood. Read more about Pitt’s thoughts on children as well as his humanitarian causes here.
Supermodel Naomi Campbell, 36, was sued a third time on Thursday following an incident where an employee said she attacked her.
Facing charges for two cases where she allegedly attacked her housekeepers, Campbell is no stranger to the court scene. Campbell’s former assistant, Amanda Brack, filed claims that she suffered from “verbal, physical and emotional attacks” by the supermodel shortly after her employment began last year.
Brack’s lawyer claims his client was “assaulted and abused” at least four times, once even being slapped across the face with Campbell’s Blackberry and slammed against a wall.
Brack is seeking damages for the emotional toil and physical pain she has endured, but the amount she’s sueing for remains undisclosed. She’s the third in a line of employees who have allegedly been hurt by Campbell’s temper tantrums.

Remember Shannen Doherty from Beverly Hills 90210 (and all those bad made-for-tv movies)?
Well, she wants to help you break up with your boyfriend, ditch your best friend, and/or walk out on your roomate. Oh, and she’d like to do it on the air, as the host of her new show on Oxgen, called “Breaking Up With Shannen Doherty.”
On the show, Doherty will “help people find the courage” to end all kinds of relationships, from engagements to friendships and business partnerships. Read more about Doherty’s new show on CNN.com’s entertainment page.

This weeks hanger-on: Ali Lohan. This is Lindsay’s kid sister, of course, and though she’s mostly in the “seen, but not heard” stage these days, there are frightening rumors of a TV show in her future. She already starred in her sister’s autobiography, for goodness sake! She might as well stamp “Lindsay’s Sis” on her face and call it a job!
Thanks to Gawker for the tip!
