20 Worst Video Game Movies
If you’ve played video games at any point in the past 18 years, you know that it’s not all Pac Man and Tetris anymore. Many games are exciting, cinematic experiences that often play out like interactive movies. Given this, you would think video games would easily translate into movies–after all, some books make good movies and they’re just words on a page. You would be reasonable thinking this, but you would be horribly wrong. For some reason, when the laws of physics were being laid out, right up there with Plank Lengths and constants of gravitational attraction, was the rule that no video game will ever be made into a decent movie.
DOA: Dead or Alive
A video game to movie with a name so nice, it appears in the title twice (DOA is an acronym), DOA: Dead or Alive was based on a sophisticated boob physics simulator disguised as a fighting game. Released in 2006, DOA starred a litany of people who were very good at being attractive and not much else, which is pretty much what the movie ended up being.
