Steven Spielberg refused to accept any money for his work on Schnidler's List
Schindler's List, a stirring film about the Holocaust, is ranked at #7 in top movies of all time. However, director and producer Steven Spielberg refused to accept any payment for his work on it. He would have considered it "blood money" and declined any compensation out of respect for the victims.
He won an Oscar award as best director and best picture for the film.
