How’s this for uncanny?
A pic of a 19th century man who looks a helluva lot like cash-strapped actor Nicolas Cage is for sale on eBay for a cool million bucks, with the seller claiming the images prove the Leaving Las Vegas star is truly immortal. This isn’t just an “Oh, he kinda looks like Nicolas Cage” resemblance. This is actually freaky. We don’t know about the immortal stuff, but this guy looks a lot like Nicolas Cage.
The flick, called “Nicolas Cage is a Vampire,” features an 1870 identity card of an unidentified man from Bristol, Tennessee. It’s being sold by a man who calls himself Jack_Mord. Jack_Mord believes his prized pic is evidence that Nicolas is some kind of spooky, live-forever, vampire-type creature. Jack_Mord says he found the photo at the back of an album that contained “an unusual number of Civil War era death portraits.” He also says that all the photos in the album were named -except for ye olde Nicolas Cage.
Here’s how he describes the pic: “Original c.1870 carte de visite showing a man who looks exactly like Nicolas Cage. Personally, I believe it’s him and that he is some sort of walking undead/vampire, et cetera, who quickens/reinvents himself once every 75 years or so. 150 years from now, he might be a politician, the leader of a cult, or a talk show host.”
Who knew Nicolas had so many talents?
If the item is sold, jack_mord claims he’ll donate 50 percent of proceeds to charity. But we don’t fancy his luck just yet, with eBay users commenting: “Dude…YOU smoke way too much weed!!” and “Would you take $30,000 MAX?”
