1970’s Band Frontman Undergoes Brain Surgey

doug fieger.jpgDoug Fieger, 53-year old singer for the 1970’s band The Knack underwent brain surgery on Thursday to remove two tumors. According to a spokesman for the band, the surgery was successful.

Issued in a statement to the press, Fieger’s surgeon has high expectations for a full recovery. No additional information on Fieger’s condition is known at this time.

The Knack is known best for the hit single “My Sharona,” which was the biggest hit song released that year (1979.) The song catapulted The Knack into the spotlight, and helped their debut album “Get the Knack” sell out to millions of fans everywhere.
