15. Kitano – Battle Royale

With his tracksuit and close-cropped head, Kitano looks a lot like the gym teacher you hoped that you wouldn’t get in high school. On the other hand, even the toughest professor probably wouldn’t force his entire class of students to fight each other to the death. Strangely, the psychotic ex-teacher is at least slightly sympathetic: discipline in school has broken down to the point where a student stabs him in the corridor, and half of his class become psychopathic murderers when given the chance (mind you, trapping teenagers on an island full of weapons and telling them to kill each other off isn’t likely to create a peaceful situation).
