7. Goodfellas – Billy Batts

In the classic gangster movie Goodfellas, loudmouth gangster Billy Batts (Frank Vincent) makes the mistake of picking on angry psycho Tommy (Joe Pesci) — probably the stupidest move since the invasion of that Middle Eastern country beginning with an “I.”

Before you can say “now go home and get your fucking shine box!” Batts receives a mobster’s funeral in the trunk of a car after being brutally and humiliatingly beaten down by a man half his size. Interestingly, Vincent’s character murders Pesci’s character in Scorsese’s next movie Casino. Revenge is sweet, even if you have to wait for an entirely new movie (and being a completely different character) to carry it out…
