9. Vernon Wells

Some people are just born to be bad, and judging by Australian actor Vernon Wells’ career, he was one of them. The actor appeared as villains in movies ranging from Mad Max 2 to Innerspace, but probably his most iconic bad guy role was the chainmail-wearing, porn-star moustachio’d mercenary Bennett from classic Arnie vehicle Commando. Since the 80s the actor has appeared mainly in indie movies, although he did manage a long-running role as the villain Ransik in a series of the kid’s martial arts show Power Rangers. Still, hardly the Hollywood heights you might have expected the sneering Bennett to scale. Maybe if he changed his facial hair to something that didn’t go out of style around the time of Freddy Mercury…
